Environmental Health

Have you had a pre-lodgement meeting with one of Council’s Environmental Health Officers.
Before you lodge an application it is recommend to book a pre-lodgement with one of Council’s Environmental Health Officers.
The aim of the pre-lodgement is to provide you with information on the suitability of the premises and identify any issues you should consider with regards to the suitability for the activity to be conducted.
Approval will not be provided at the visit. If you wish to book a pre-lodgement with one of Council’s Environmental Health Officers please contact Council.

	Food Business Licence (Fixed Food Premises, Cafe, Takeaway, Restaurant, Mobile Food Vehicle and Water Carrier)	The following documents will need to be uploaded as part of this application: 1. 	Temporary Food Business Licence	The following documents will need to be uploaded as part of this application: 1. Application for food business licence form (available by clicking on the above link) 2. Food safety program and auditors written advice (if applicable) 3. To scale plans or stall drawing (refer to checklist on application form for detail) 4. Menu 5. List of dates and locations
	Personal Appearance Services Licence	The following documents will need to be uploaded as part of this application: 1. To scale plans (including site plumbing fixtures, dirty and clean zones and surface finishes) 2. Statement of attainment for each operator for Infection control qualifications

Local Laws

A licence is required for use of Local Government Controlled Areas, Facilities and Roads.
If you are wanting to run a business out of a vehicle, for example a seafood trailer or ice cream van and you will be operating in a Council controlled area such as a park, car park, on a road or beach a Commercial Use of Road Reserve Application for a Mobile or Static Roadside Vending permit will be required.

	Commercial Use of Road Reserve	If you require a licence for any of the above uses of Council controlled areas please complete the Application for Use of Local Government Controlled Areas, Facilities and Roads. Trade Waste Approvals

In accordance with the Water Supply (Safety & Reliability) Act 2008, a person must not discharge trade waste into the sewerage system without a Trade Waste Approval (Maximum Penalty - 1665 Penalty Units)

	Trade Waste Approval	Trade Waste is the waterborne waste from business, trade or manufacturing premises; other than waste that is a prohibited substance, human waste or storm water. Any person wishing to discharge trade waste to the sewerage system must submit an Application for a Trade Waste Approval. For more information, refer to Trade Waste General Information
